Preston Hill Community Pilot

Preston Hill Community Pilot

Once the future of Preston Hill quarry has been secured and permanent facilities to support diving activites have been developed at the site the club plans to hold a series of diver training courses, known as the Preston Hill Community Pilot.

The Preston Hill Community Pilot will be aimed specifically at members of the local community who live in and around the Inverkeithing area . The events will take place at Preston Hill quarry and will follow PADI's internationally recognised diver training syllabus.

All equipment and training will be provided free of charge. There will be four students on each course and those selected to take part will be provided with one year's membership of the club. Successful completion of the course will lead to the award of the formal qualification of PADI Open Water Diver which means students will be able to accompany club members on organised club dives to open water locations.

The training will be carried out by our Chief Instructor who is an experienced PADI Staff Instructor and he will be assisted by a PADI-qualified Divemaster.

While club membership is open to anyone, the Preston Hill Community Pilot is open only to local residents aged 18 and over who live in and around the Inverkeithing area and who are not in work or full-time education. To register your interest in this scheme please submit your details via the contact form.
